Exile

France, Paris, Grande salle Pierre Boulez – Philharmonie

On the lonely way of exile people always find shelter in songs that express and alleviate their pain for the loss of their homeland and their loved ones. Nowadays this way of exile instead of narrowing, continues to widen and this is why the song continues to multiply and the voices unite. Maria Farantouri, having experienced exile in the past and at the same time becoming a pillar of power with her song for the exiled people, participates in the concert of the En Chordais ensemble under the artistic direction of Kyriakos Kalaitzidis – of a refugee origin from Black Sea and Cappadocia, who researches the traditions of the Mediterranean on the subject of exile, being in Greece, the crossroads of West and East.
