Greece, Macedonia, Thessaloniki, Heptapyrgion
Monday & Tuesday, 30 June & 1 July 2025, 21:15
Maria Farantouri and Manolis Mitsias perform iconic poems by Federico García Lorca, set to music by Mikis Theodorakis, Christos Leontis and Manos Hadzidakis, accompanied by 22 musicians and 3 dancers. Grigoris Baltinos reads texts by Anna Myconiou, who approaches the poetic and theatrical work of the Andalusian poet through the presence of the female figure in it.
A performance with music, dance, narrative texts and poems set to music, dedicated to the visionary poet of Andalusia. A performance with the colours, smells and sounds of Andalusia, but also the passion of a great poet.
