Y. Malouchos is a columnist, journalist, and author.

The book is the second part of a two-volume edition with the printed version of the radio series DOCUMENTS by radio station SKAI 100.3 – 1st Broadcast: January 2003 – June 2004. Mikis Theodorakis recounts his life to Y. Malouchos and in many cases refers to Maria Farantouri.

It was the first concert I did in France… I had Kalogiannis and Farantouri with me, and I conducted the orchestra. Farantouri had come from London with Telemachos Hytiris, whom she introduced to me as her suitor. I was very happy to see Maria with someone by her side. I loved her very much and cared for her because she was alone. She had left her mother and father at my request to undertake this mission. And suddenly I saw her so happy… Maria already had an orchestra because she gave concerts with Kaloyannis and Melina. Before me, they had begun to tour Europe, and of course, the slogans of the Patriotic Front dominated these concerts.
