With her unmistakable, profoundly human voice, Maria Farantouri became a living icon of Greece. Her decades-long collaboration with Mikis Theodorakis shaped the worldwide rise of his music — from lyrical art songs to passionate anthems.

A Vision in Sound
Traditional instruments -bouzoukis, santouri, lute, violin and clarinet- merge with masterful arrangements to create the distinctive musical language that made Theodorakis the voice of an entire people. The performance is brought to life by Estoudiantina Neas Ionias under the artistic direction of Andreas Katsiyannis.
